We used to be fine with reasonable positions on Google sg, my, hk etc but nowhere near as good on .com. Websites are hosted in South East Asia. This has changed over the past few days, although still not good on .com the positions on sg, my, hk have gone from even the top 10 pages. Has anyone ideas on this, I am asking on the Google section but wondered if anyone else in this region has experienced the same.
Changes in your rankings could be due to any number of factors. It would be hard to speculate with the information you posted. Have you made changes recently that might have affected your ranking?
The regional Googles generally give more weight to sites that they can determine are focused on the local market. Factors such as hosting location, local domain extensions, language, character set, and things of that nature. There simply may be more competition in the .com algo.
A sudden drop may just be Google tuning its algo. If you wait a bit you may find things return to normal.
