Indian government is blocking sites
Technical advisers need to buy a clue

 3:37 am on Jul 19, 2006 (gmt 0)

Several Indian forums have reported that blogspot, typepad and geocities sites are slowly being blocked by ISPs at the behest of the Indian govt apparently because terrorists are using them.

Now they need to block all the open proxies.

Its been almost 5 days now. Most of the popular sites are being blocked. Blogger is completly out of India at this time. Geocities is banned too.

All ISP's have been given instructions ( I got this information from my ISP ) to block certain sites.

Just Updated: Blog blockade will be lifted in 48 hours
