Preparing for IPv6 via .htaccess

I would imagine that quite a bit of the spammers and bots out there are going to be moving to servers running on the IPv6 scheme, and I suspect that quite a bit of our blockage through .htaccess will be "obsolute" due to using the old school IPv4 scheme.
We may want to get a preemptive thread up about preparing for the change..
Good idea?
Bad idea?

I think it is a good idea and not only because of spammers. I believe the IPv6 issue is going to be a disaster because nobody is really talking about or preparing for it.

Very true. IPv6 is very common in Japan, we are far behind in adapting as our major ISP's are not even ready.

After viewing some google references, it does not appear that implementation is any closer (in North America) in 2011 than it was ten years ago.

Some cell phones are using IPv6, and even Windows Vista came with IPv6 comparability, which caused many problems with the OS.
