I have had excellent service from a host that runs LiteSpeed servers and would hate to leave them and take my chances with an unknown host.
The problem is that lately I have been trying to tweak my site and LiteSpeed just doesn't support certain things.
Unable to remove the ETag headers...the Apache "Header unset ETag" and "FileETag None" directives are not compatible with LiteSpeed servers. Both Google and Yahoo among others recommend removing these headers.
Doubling up on Vary headers...LiteSpeed doesn't remove the existing vary header and just throws two instances (the original and my new one) when I try to either "append" or "set" the vary header.
So my question to you guys...is it worth moving to another host that runs Apache so these two issues can be addressed? Or are these are minor issues that are not relevant and I should not be concerned about.

Since your question revolves around removal of ETags on a non-Apache server, and further, around the issue of why Google and Yahoo might be recommending their removal, I think this question will get more traction in a forum which addresses SEO issues -- such as our Google News forum.
