Mobile Indexing Questions
How to have mobile subdomain indexed

Hello
just created a mobile subdomain for a mobile version of my site. m.website.com and have included an .htaccess to detect for mobile phones and redirect to m.website.com. this works fine if i input the www.website.com

However if I google the company name and click the link in google ie www.website.com/about.asp it goes to the desktop version of my site.

Must i do something directly on each page code to have google redirect to mobile version?

you probably need to fix the mod_rewrite rules in .htaccess.
try posting the relevant exemplified code here and someone will figure out what's missing.

The pattern in your RewriteRule matches only the "home page" URL "website.com/", so requests for "website.com/about.asp" will not be redirected.

I'd suggest:

RewriteRule ^(about\.asp)?$ http://m.website.com/ [R=303,L]

if you wish to redirect both URLs.

You must define "pages" in terms of "page URLs" -- What specifically, do you define as a page URL? Otherwise, *everything* will be redirected -- images, css, javascripts, doucments, and multimedia files. Or perhaps that is what you want...

That would be a poor choice if you care about search ranking. Redirect each non-mobile page to the equivalent page on the mobile domain, if one is available...
