about to change dynamically generated page names
need to create redirect in htaccess

i have a pages generated by my cms that have url
/blue-widget-cat-1234.html,
/red-widget-cat-1235.html, etc.

i want to change the urls to
/blue-1234.html,
/red-1235.html

as the orignal urls are too long and google might think of them as spammy.
i know there is a redirect and rediretmatch command for htaccess, however i can never figureout regex, some help would be appreciated

I would sugget to check your htaccess (with the rules to your cms) for the url pattern you want, and edit it accordingly
