AdWords Conversion Tracking & Click Attribution Will AdWords attribute last click or the first click. The_Fox
I'm finding contradicting answers to this question on several forums. Also most of those are old info so giving it a shot here. Question: In the following scenario, how will Google AdWords attribute conversion as - last click or first click? Person A finds my website via Ad 1, but doesn't convert on Day 1. He remembers the brand, and comes back 29 days later via Organic search and converts. Will this conversion be tracked on Google AdWords? Will it be convert if he comes back after 30 days (As I understand there is a 30 day tracking period for AdWords)?
With pretty much all Internet stats - I think the absolute value doesn't mean much. If your conversation rate is trending up or down, then that is important. Also, comparing the conversation rate between two different sites is useful. However, the exact value is an indication but not necessarily 100% informative.
