| Mobile redirect only tracking referrals

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered on another post but I've had a good search and can't find anything.
A client of ours has pointed out that 95% traffic to their mobile site is showing up as referral in Google Analytics. This is because of a redirect on the main site which points all users visiting from a mobile device straight to a separate mobile site.
I guess we need some kind of parameter which tells analytics to ignore the previous page if a user has been redirected
Has anyone had the same experience and if so come up with a fix?
