We have been experiencing a similar issue as discussed in this earlier thread: [webmasterworld.com ]
It started on March 30th an usually persists for 24-48 hours at a time and it has occurred 4 separate times. Analytics picks it up as human traffic but it clearly cant be. Always arrives as 'direct' traffic and once ever 5-10 pages it opens a second page. The landing page is always our homepage and the second page is almost always a category page.
This causes our bounce rate to increase as well as decrease time on site, lowering conversions, all of it. We will receive anywhere between 300-600 unique visits when it does occur.
in the other thread, it seems like there were multiple sites getting hit from ip's allover us and europe, we are only getting hit from Bangladesh from one city! but all different ip's.
Is there a standard way to deal with this? Do I contact google or do we have to start individually banning each ip address that hits us direct from Bangladesh?
