|Does Google SERP Preview affect analytics?|
Are results therefore skewed.

When Google generates a site preview, does it count as a visit or does Analytics know the difference? After all, they have to visit the page to generate the image.

But they don't have to visit it then and there. They can pull up a cached copy.
It may be easier to test it by pulling up a Preview of some obscure backwater of a page that nobody ever visits, so the GA timestamp would be unambiguous.

I have seen page visits on Analytics of pages I know I pulled up in preview with a visit duration of 00.00 seconds. It crossed my mind yesterday when it was saying "generating preview."
