Hi all,

A question about event tracking code on the drop down menus and tracking total viewing times for videos.

This URL (https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/eventTrackerGuide#Values) says you can affix a numerical value to events. I want to use this for tracking what option in drop down menus people select most and for tracking the total viewing time of videos on the website.

Iím not sure how you specify/stipulate the numerical range of a value for an event.

Also, wondering if there is a site wide impact on site speed/load times when such event tracking is implemented on more than 500 items across the website. Planning to track practically every clickable link across the entire website. I know there is a limit of 500 recordable actions per user session.

Any guidance on this will be handy.

Best,
PAR
