Does anyone know of a way to kick off an "account recovery" for Google Analytics based only on the UA-xyzxyz-x tag embedded across the site?
A friend of mine has just taken on new role which involves maintenance of an existing website, it seems Google Analytics is set up live on the site except no-one in the business has any record at all of the login details (or even the email address) used to set up Analytics.
The business uses Google Adwords but it seems the Adwords account isn't linked to the Analytics account...
So he has the UA-xyzxyz-y code and not much else to go on :-(
He has pretty much free access to all email mailboxes across the business (not exactly a big place) so if there's just a way to persuade Google to send an "account recovery" email to whichever email address was used in the first place... (?!)
