Hello,

I'm looking for a way to track out going clicks with Google Analytics. I found some reading material on it and tried something out, but no stats are registering. Here's what I used:

onClick="pageTracker._trackEvent(‘Site Section’, ‘Exit click’, ‘Outgoing-URL’);"

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Grant

are you using the async tracker? if so, then it should be _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Site Section', 'Exit click' , 'Outgoing-URL’']);

Hmm this still isn't showing any data, I clicked the links a couple times myself just to make sure there would at least be something but there's nothing showing yet. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hrm, just open your js console (firebug or chrome dev) and copy and paste this in, should show up within 20 min.
_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'testing', 'testing' , 'testing']);
