Sorry if this is in the wrong area.

I'm wondering, is anyone else experiencing misreporting of traffic sources in their analytics? After Thursday my stats are all weird. Same amount of traffic but instead of reporting the normal ~40% from search engines google's now reporting 13.5%...

I own a very high traffic volume site and that discrepancy would mean that just one day thousands of people stopped coming from Google and started coming direct. I'm pretty sure that it's impossible. Actually, I know it's impossible. So what the hell is going on with my stats? I have analytics going back pretty much to the day Google Analytics hit beta and my search engine traffic has never fell below 30%... it's such a drastic change and in such a short period of time that it has to be misreported. ... but WHY?!

Thank you if you can provide insight.

Do you reduce the OffPage Optimization? If not then take care of your content. Re-write some unique, fresh & informative content. Because the Google Bots love to eat the new content.

Think you'd need to drill down a bit further, where is the drop in traffic exactly? Particular search terms, your ppc campaign etcetc?
