Google Analytics Stopped Working
Please Help

 7:34 am on Jun 6, 2009 (gmt 0)

Ok so I am in the process of doing a site review and have been given analytics access..I have been using it since it came out so I am not new to it by any means for those reading.

Last night..ok early, early this morning I was setting up some advanced segments and some filters for the site being reviewed, the norm...

Only to wake up and traffic completely drop off right around the time I went to bed?

Really odd and doesnt look good since they just gave us admin access and now traffic completely stopped being recorded?

Any ideas? Is there anything you could have done with filtering that would cause this? All I did was set up a filter for social networking sites and Google images.

Any ideas would be great!

It looks like the legacy code is being used if that helps anyone...maybe the old code doesnt work with the filtering?

Check the UA number in your account to make sure it still matches what's in your source code. I discover a mismatch every six weeks or so because the number associated with the account appears to change periodically, although I'm told that it's not supposed to. *shrug* Anyway, after I update the number, all is well again.
