| Google Analytics - time on site for tabbed browsers?

Hi, could you help? A client of mine has asked about if a user visits a site, opens another tab then leaves both open all night, would this skew the time on site stat in GA? Or another scenario - a user has 10 / multiple tabs open would GA track the user even if the tracked site was not the 'live' tab? thanks in advance

Yes it would skew the time on site, and I do it constantly usually with about 30 tabs. As far as I know Google Analytics is not clever enough to monitor which is the live tab.
