Basic Ad Tracking?

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but I was a little unsure as to where to place it.

I have been given two advertising positions on a couple of sites. What I'd like to be able to do though is track those who click on those adverts and therefore come to my site.

Is there any straight-forward way of doing this?

Basically some kind of referrer ID so I could track it through Analytics or something like that?

Which analytics package are you using? All the major ones I've encountered allow you to tag links to your site with a couple of attributes to see how those visitors perform on your site. For example, to tag the links for Google Analytics, you'd follow the instructions at:
[google.com...]
