I have a moderate sized forum. I have been looking into Boardreader and similar and whether to continue allowing them to index my site.

I'm in two minds at the moment, although I get a small amount of traffic, is this from keywords where they have appeared higher than where I may have been without them?

Any thoughts? Anyone made a decision either way?

It has been a mystery to me all these years: why would any forum owner in their right mind allow boardreader index their site? They are a competitor to every one of those forums. They have a PR6 homepage and they have close to 1Mil back links. So, once you gave them your content, it's theirs as far as ranking in SE is concerned.

Can anyone provide a rational explanation for why exactly you allow them to index your forum?
