Are there any search engines actually trying new things out in terms how how they display results or the type of results they display ? .

I guess it depends on what you consider new. Bing, Cuil, and WolframAlpha (not really search, I know) all have tried to present information in new ways. Those are just a few of the bigger names that come to mind.

there are lots of new things ie RDF, or semantic etc . These things are a different path to the normal search engines like Google,Yahoo, Ask, Bing etc.

When I mean different search engines I meant search engines that are doing things ie kind of way they work, or data source etc.
