I've built a server for the database for the .eu search engine pre-index phase but there seems to be comparatively little unique, useful content in .eu gTLD There's a very high level of squatting and holding pages. Regards...jmcc

I basically built EUROBurf.eu, which is a copy of Burf (to change this weekend) and filters the main database for .eu content I would agree that most .eu pages seem to be redirects or holding pages. I going to do a big push to popular the database with some good content and will let you know if I find out anything useful

Well I am working from a database of about 1.4 Million .eu domains so this might take some time. :) But the preliminary work shows a very high incidence of coming soon and link swamp pages. It generally takes about 18-24 months for a gTLD to settle down and for the landgrab/squatter fest to work itself out of the system. There is also a lot of defensive registrations but the buzz is really wearing off .eu in Europe. Some hosters that I've spoken to confirm this and are now back to selling com/net/org/biz/info/cctld. | One part of my work is analysing the domain hosting business. That involves tracking the domains hosted on about 1.2 million hosters. Another part is building indices for country level search engines and the .eu index was an obvious thing to do. Regards...jmcc
