Your site sounds similar to mine. I get good results with TripAdvisor. I use their deep link generator to create text links to specific hotel properties and specific travel destinations. They're on Commission Junction.

I've resisted this post for a couple of days but I can't resist any longer! For the last six days my Vibrant earnings have outstripped my Adsense earnings. I know from experience that these earnings are very variable but hope springs eternal! As a former "there is no alternative to adsense" person (other than specific affiliates) I am seriously wobbling! Seriously. In all likelihood I have hit a good subject matter with Vibrant but I recommended them to another site in a different sector and they are well pleased with the results.

ANewLife i tried trip advisor after reading this and i would like to say thank you. Trip Advisor Rocks. virtualreality for Travel stay away from Chitika, Amazon, etc. Check out Vibrant Text Ad, and maybe "big maybe" hotelscombined. another company with possibility is prosper.com they offer a affiliate solution that can pull travel ad into ad units. But by far with Travel Affiliate programs work best "preferably once that allow CName private branding. Cname is a site that allow you to create a domain name that mask theirs "example [expedia.com...] to [hotels.yoursite.com...]
