For my CPA campaigns, I follow these rules.
1. Find out from the affiliate manager about the finer details that qualify a lead as a sale 2. After checking with the aff. manager I run an incentive program, that compliments the product they purchase.
It's a simple rule that has helped me not only in conversions but also customer loyalty. And what's more every person who signs up through me also leaves their details, which helps me to double confirm the sale.
