6 million page view 250k uniques a day humor site

Hi. My site has about 6 million page views a day and 250k uniques a day. It currently has no ad networks.

Adsense, Valueclick, and Casalemedia kicked me out for offense content. It's a user oriented site, so they say bad words.

Nothing worse than they say on youtube.

How should I generate revenue?

Thanks

250,000 uniques a day and you don't know how to monetize it?

What's your bandwidth cost a month with that kind of traffic?

wild whacky humor site... sell wild whacky funny things.
try chitika to place certain products onto your pages where they're contextually relevant.

but aside from auto chosen ads (those you mentioned that booted you) or products (chitika), i'd do affiliate stuff and have a product each day that you highlight.

Well, you didn't honor the terms of service of the other ad networks so how do you plan to not break the terms of another ad network?

First of all, can't compare AdSense to YouTube, you aren't YouTube and the TOS for AdSense is "family friendly" not "so they say bad words".

I actually have pages with language those networks don't like on my site(s) and dynamically change the ad networks on those pages to something else which solves the problem.

Had you done the same, you would probably still be in those networks.

Something to consider moving forward.

Depends mostly on ... can you implement an xml feed and rotate through a short keyword list (of your choosing) appropriate for your users or if you are limited to using javascript tags.

There are dozens of options - no shortage there. Finding one that you can live with the revenues you generate is another thing and might be more difficult.

Hope it help

But then adsense doesn't accept these kind of sites.Their bots run across the pages, find something that violates their terms and sends an automated reply. So he wouldn't even get a chance to try like you suggest.

The only option is to have an adsense account through some other site that fits their guidelines and then try your suggestion but there is always the risk that they can disable yours any time...

i suggest you to go for private advertisements. There are quite a few.for eg. - there is buysellads but i am not sure whether they will accept the site. You could try it though...

There are also some good CPM networks around. You could also try in text advertising (unless you don't like this form of advertising) like infolinks, kontera etc.
