Generally speaking, I don't trust eBooks because it's so easy to type up some BS that regurgitates the same (often bad) information you find out there and put it up on the web as if you're an expert in the field. I have, however, occasionally been pleasently surprised at some of the things that I've read.
So, can any of you suggest a good eBook that covers the do's and don'ts of affiliate marketing; how to maximize sales, retention, and all that? Or, as I suspect, am I better off just poking around the forums and asking questions?
Of course, the same problems that eBooks have also apply to many forum users. You ask a question, and someone replies with useless info as if it's gold which makes it hard to tell the good from the bad even in a thread like this.
Well, once you've been around long enough it's much easier to tell the bad from the good. I'd definitely not call myself an expert at all this; but I have been at it for 5 years so at least the really bad advice is easy to spot.
Suggestions? It doesn't even have to be an eBook even. Perhaps just links to a few of the really good threads here and there would be fine.
