Im a pretty decent web developer but my "marketing foo" has always been weak. So, after doing some research online I started trying to have discussions with some friends who are either in marketing (traditional) or IT like myself. The conversations usually go like this...
Hey Joe, have you heard about web-based affiliate sales? Uh no, gee that sounds neat, what is it? Hey Joe, ever use Google analytics to view the traffic statistics on your website visitors? Google what? What is that... So now I dont even bring up discussions of my web projects, I just play dumb and nond my head and use lots of "ya..uh huh...sorta". My point ? Im glad I found these forums!
