Skype conversions, affilaites and the rest.
I was wondering if anyone had any feedback.

I'm considering intergrating Skype into our site via their API. Since October 2006, we've grown to be Alexa 15,000 or so and at the current rate we could reach the top 500 in a year or two.

We can easily force memebers to download, install, and register with Skype as a part of our standard registration process, and in doing so create hundereds of thousands of potential customers for Skype (and an uncertian ammount affilaite income for us).

I'm not really too excited with their terms. Customers we send them get only 90 days to make a purchase, after the 90 day window we get nothing... whether our customers keep spending money or no... far from the lifetime income a poker affilaite gets.

I'm sure we can send them 100,000 to 200,000 subscribers over the next year, but I have no idea what percentage of these subscribers will actually purchase and so I really can't descern whether to make this a high priorty or not vis a vis other important additions/modifications needed for the site.

I see stats all over the place... from 0.5% to 20% which doesn't make planning too easy.

I can say their 90th precentile EPC is about $56 USD with an average of about $165 USD.

Affilaites get a 25% cut for 90 days and nothing thereafter.

Any idea on what sort of revenues we might expect (better a worst and best case scenario) given these stats?

Any feedback about any aspect of the above would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
