i signed up with cj and got approved for a domain name company. i did put the cj link in my site. but till date i couldnt get a single sale. i recently heard if i dont do a single sale within 6 months, i will be pushed out of cj. is it true? i request u to tell me any affiliate product in cj that would yeild me some sale or the other so that i dont get thrown away from cj. i am a newbie. your sharing of knowledge would be greatly helpful. thanks.

my site deals with software, blogging, web utilities etc.

Hi sandyweb and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

How many clicks have you received on your links? Is your website focused on what you are trying to sell.

The best advice I can give to a newbie starting out is to make sure your offers match your target audience and your website theme. If you have high paying off topic links, you probably won't get any sales.

hi eljefe3

i received only 4 clicks this month with 5000 impressions. i dont know what to do. my site has mixed content. its not specifically targeted at single niche. but intended for a particular geographical audience.

Change the product. It probably doesn't appeal to the audience you are targetting it.

If it is a banner, try changing it to a text link.

Don't worry about it. I have been kicked out a number of times and reapplied each time with a different e-mail address. I made my first affiliate sale after almost 4 and a half years! I am doing alright now with a score of 4 out of 5 in terms of network earnings (it isn't much though)

yes it doesnt appeal to the audience may be. but i see only the webhosting & domain name companies pay better than any other. so i opted for a domain name company under cj.

regarding changing to banner/text yes i will try changing it.

that is comforting. atleast i can apply again with a different email address. i think they will close my a/c this time with no sales lol.

Yes these might pay the most, but they don't necessarily earn you the affiliate the most.

Just keep testing different offers and try a bit of copy writing to make the product seem more exiciting. You don't need to use the text that cj gives you for the link.

Is it true that CJ boots out affiliates after 6 mths without a sale?

Where does it say that in the TOS,,

I am not challenging this, I just want to find out more,

a question,

is it acceptable to use cj text style links on an adsense page
