|How to set up internal linking?|
internal linking - confused
| 4:21 am on Aug 3, 2006 (gmt 0)|
My new website has a blog and a shop both in their own directories. I want to have my WP blog as my home page.
When you type widget.com you would be redirected (301) to the widgets.com/blog/index.php
All the home link inside the website looks like this : widget.com/blog/index.php. or should I just link to widgets.com inside the website too and let 301 do the job?
What is right or better with Sarch engines.

Since you have put in place a 301 redirect for widget.com, so putting link to your home page widget.com will automatically re-directed.
So whether you write the absilute url widgets.com/blog/index.php or just widgets.com, it will always go to one and only place.

You should always point internal links to the preferred (correct) URI, and not to a URI which is subsequently redirected. Let the 301 redirect handle only incorrect inbound links.
